The Adelaide Strikers are set to commence their WBBL|11 campaign with a schedule featuring several high-profile fixtures, headlined by a Stadium Series match at the iconic Adelaide Oval. This season is expected to deliver more entertainment and world-class talent reinforcing the WBBL’s reputation as one of the premier women’s sporting competitions.
The home schedule begins with a Friday night showdown at Karen Rolton Oval, where the Strikers will face the defending champions, the Melbourne Renegades. Broadcast live on Seven, Foxtel, and Kayo, the fixture offers an early opportunity for the Strikers to make a statement early in the season.
The Strikers’ second home fixture will take place at CitiPower Centre, where they will meet the Perth Scorchers in a neutral venue clash. This match will be particularly meaningful as it marks the first time the Strikers face former teammate Katie Mack in Scorchers colours. Mack, a valued contributor during her time with Adelaide, will reunite with familiar faces in a contest that also honours the legacy of Faith Thomas through the First Nations match.
Following two away matches against Hobart Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers, the Strikers return to Karen Rolton Oval to take on the Brisbane Heat. Then, in a major coup for South Australian cricket, Adelaide Oval will host the only Stadium Series match of the WBBL season on Friday, 28 November, as the Strikers clash with the Sydney Thunder in a marquee fixture.
The final home match of the regular season sees the Strikers take on the Hobart Hurricanes at Karen Rolton Oval on Friday, 5 December. But the contest doesn’t end there as the team heads to North Sydney Oval for a blockbuster finale against the Sydney Sixers, where all eyes will be on Sophie Ecclestone as she faces her former club for the first time since joining the Strikers in the draft.
Further signings will be announced in the coming weeks, ahead of the Strikers first game against the Melbourne Stars at CitiPower Centre on Monday, November 10.
