Adelaide Strikers sign hard-hitting batsman Harjas Singh

The Adelaide Strikers are excited to announce the signing of emerging batter Harjas Singh.

The hard-hitting left-hander was a key member of Australia’s ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup-winning team in 2024, top-scoring with an instrumental 55 in the final against India alongside fellow Strikers quick Tom Straker.

Known for his powerful stroke play, the 21-year-old earned international headlines last year after blasting an incredible 314 from just 142 balls for Western Suburbs in Sydney First Grade, smashing a record 35 sixes in a single innings.

Singh finished the summer as the leading run-scorer in the competition across all three formats, compiling 1,193 runs at an average of more than 60.

His outstanding form resulted in Singh earning a NSW rookie contract for the 2026/27 season.

Adelaide Strikers coach Tim Paine said Singh would be an exciting addition to the club's batting line-up.

"We're really excited to see what Harjas can do in this squad," Paine said.

"He's incredibly talented, driven and ambitious, and we believe he's going to be a valuable asset for our group.

"He's a destructive batter with enormous potential and is certainly a player Strikers fans should be excited to watch this season."

Singh said he was thrilled to join the Strikers ahead of an exciting season.

"I'm incredibly excited to join the Strikers and play my part in what is a very talented squad," Singh said.

"The club has worked really hard to assemble a competitive list, and it will be an incredible opportunity to play alongside some of the world's best players, including Matt Short, Ben Stokes and Haris Rauf.

"I can't wait to get to Adelaide, meet the fans and get stuck into the season."
