The Adelaide Strikers have named a 12-player squad for their Weber WBBL season opener against the Melbourne Stars at Karen Rolton Oval tomorrow afternoon.
Led by captain Tahlia McGrath, the squad boasts a mix of world-class international talent and exciting emerging local players.
Dynamic English opener Maia Bouchier is in line to make her Adelaide Strikers debut, joining fellow internationals and fan favourites Laura Wolvaardt and Sophie Ecclestone in the squad.
Emerging fast bowlers Ella Wilson and Maggie Clark have also been named and will be looking to make an impact in front of a home crowd.
Adelaide Strikers Coach Luke Williams said the group was eager to begin the season in front of its passionate supporters.
"We're really looking forward to putting on a show for our amazing fans at Karen Rolton Oval," Williams said.
"We've got some incredible talent with both bat and ball that can make a real difference for us this season.
"The group has worked extremely hard throughout the pre-season and there's a genuine excitement around what we can achieve together.”
