Shamsi, Wadia lead Strikers to victory over Renegades in final game of BBL|15

The Strikers finished their BBL|15 season in style, dismantling the Renegades in front of a roaring Adelaide Oval crowd.

The spin of Tabraiz Shamsi, Jerrssis Wadia and Lloyd Pope was too much for the Renegades as they were skittled for just 99. The Strikers then cantered to an eight-wicket victory with the top-order all chipping in.

Wadia lit the game alight from the very first ball as he and Alex Carey combined to dismiss Tim Seifert. Wadia then found himself on a hat-trick after getting Jake Fraser-McGurk caught and bowled. He went on to post 2/11 from his two overs.

The Strikers put the squeeze on the Renegades as the wickets kept falling. Henry Thornton picked up his 50th as a Striker, and Lloyd Pope put in a very tidy display to take 2/23.

Tabraiz Shamsi starred with the ball to claim his first four-wicket haul as a Striker. His wizardry helped bowl the Renegades out for their lowest-ever total against the Strikers.

With just 100 needed to win, Matt Short and Carey got their side off to a good start, scoring 30 and 22 respectively.

Chris Lynn made sure the Strikers remained on the front foot with an unbeaten 27, and he and Liam Scott held strong to lead the Strikers to an eight-wicket win.
