The Adelaide Strikers are proud to announce that Amanda-Jade Wellington and Darcie Brown will both return for WBBL|12.
The bowling duo have been re-signed to the Strikers for next season as part of the eight players retained ahead of Player Movement Window opening.
Wellington became the first Strikers player to play in 150 WBBL matches during WBBL|11. She took eight wickets at an average of 25 with a remarkable economy of 6.55. She also impressed with the bat, putting in some notable performances down the order.
Brown was the leading wicket taker in the competition for the Strikers, picking up 11. She averaged 21.5 with the ball. This included a fantastic display against the Hobart Hurricanes, where she returned career-best figures of 4-16.
Head coach Luke Williams said, “It’s great to have both Amanda-Jade and Darcie returning to the Strikers next season.
“Having played every game ever for the club, Wello is synonymous with the Strikers, and I’m delighted that she has re-signed.
“Darcie has had another great season, continues to be a crucial part of the team and no doubt will be instrumental in our quest for more success moving forward.”
