Six World Cup icons are set to feature for the Adelaide Strikers in their opening clash against the Melbourne Stars on Monday, November 10.
Australian vice-captain Tahlia McGrath will lead the Strikers in WBBL|11, with international teammates Megan Schutt and Darcie Brown alongside her.
England duo Tammy Beaumont and Sophie Ecclestone have both made the move to Adelaide. Beaumont played for two seasons back in 2016-17 and 2017-18, while Ecclestone will make her debut in blue.
Following back-to-back tons in the World Cup semi and final, Laura Wolvaardt returns for her sixth season with the Strikers. She nears her 100th appearance in the WBBL.
Spinners Jemma Barsby, Anesu Mushangwe and Amanda-Jade Wellington will look to contain with the ball, while recent Spring Challenge standout Maddie Penna will hope to continue her fine form with the bat.
The destructive Ellie Johnston and Tabatha Saville also add batting depth to the 15-player squad.
Young gun all-rounders Eleanor Larosa and Ella Wilson will both look to build on their impressive Spring Challenge performances.
The Strikers claimed back-to-back titles during WBBL|08 and WBBL|09 and look to go again this season to make it three championships in four years.
