Saville headlines list of re-signings as Adelaide Strikers finalise squad for WBBL|11

The Adelaide Strikers are pleased to announce the signings of Tabatha Saville, Ellie Johnston, Eleanor Larosa and Ella Wilson for WBBL|11.

Saville returns to the Strikers after nearly seven years away from the set-up, while Johnston (two years), Larosa (two) and Wilson (one) sign extensions to remain in Adelaide.

Saville has made 44 appearances in the WBBL over the last decade, representing the Strikers for three seasons between 2016-17 and 2018-19, before joining the Hobart Hurricanes ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The Fijian-born batter made her WBBL debut for the Strikers on January 2, 2017, against the Sydney Sixers, and made an instant impact, taking a catch to dismiss the dangerous Ellyse Perry.

After the 2018-19 season, Saville took a four-year break from the game, but returned to the sport ahead of the 2023-24 summer, joining Tasmania and the Hobart Hurricanes.

After an impressive display in the Under-18s National Championship for South Australia, she was selected for Cricket Australia's Talent Squad and less than a year later was received her first WBBL contract with the Strikers.

Johnston, Larosa and Wilson all remain with the Strikers for WBBL|11.

Johnston, 22, previously played for the Brisbane Heat for three seasons but brought her destructive abilities to South Australia last summer.

She impressed against the Melbourne Stars in the Spring Challenge with an explosive 36 off 20 at the top of the order.

Nineteen-year-old Larosa is also handed a two-year extension.

The all-rounder both bats and bowls left-handed and chipped in with some handy performances in the Spring Challenge too.

Wilson and Larosa were teammates at the U19 T20 World Cup in 2023, where Wilson featured in five games for Australia.

Wilson, an all-rounder, took three wickets and made a high score of 28 at the Spring Challenge for the Strikers.

These four signings complete the Adelaide Strikers' 15-player squad for 2025-26 WBBL.

Adelaide Strikers’ WBBL|11 squad: Jemma Barsby, Tammy Beaumont, Darcie Brown, Sophie Ecclestone, Ellie Johnston, Eleanor Larosa, Tahlia McGrath, Anesu Mushangwe, Bridget Patterson, Maddie Penna, Megan Schutt, Tabatha Saville, Amanda-Jade Wellington, Ella Wilson, Laura Wolvaardt.
