Bridget Patterson’s Enduring Strikers Journey Continues

Foundation player and fan favourite, Bridget Patterson has committed to the Adelaide Strikers for another two seasons, extending her tenure through WBBL|11.

Patterson, who has been with the Strikers since the inaugural WBBL season in 2015, continues to be a vital part of the squad. Her experience, leadership, and consistency have made her a cornerstone of the team’s culture and success.

Over the past year, Patterson has reinforced her status as a key contributor through consistent high-level performances and leadership. In WBBL|10, she played a pivotal role in the Strikers’ campaign, contributing valuable runs including a crucial 61 against the Heat and finishing the season with a strike rate of 124.44. Her glovework was equally impressive showcasing exceptional reflexes and a strong sense of game awareness.

“Bridget’s impact on and off the field is immeasurable,” said Head Coach Luke Williams. “She’s been with us since day one, and her ability to adapt, lead, and perform under pressure makes her an invaluable asset to our squad.”

Patterson stepped into the wicketkeeping role full-time in WBBL|09 following the retirement of Tegan McPharlin and has since made it her own. Her seamless transition and consistent performances have solidified her status as one of the league’s most reliable keepers.

“I’m incredibly proud to continue my journey with the Strikers,” said Patterson. “I’ve made many great memories here, and the support from our fans means everything. I’m excited to keep building on what we’ve achieved and help lead the next chapter.”

With over 1,900 career WBBL runs, Patterson brings not only skill and experience but also a deep understanding of the game and a passion that resonates with fans across South Australia and beyond.
