Strikers squad v Thunder

An unchanged Adelaide Strikers squad has been named for their final minor round match of KFC BBL|13, against the Sydney Thunder at Manuka Oval.

The match is must-win for the Strikers if they want to play in the upcoming final series and they will take momentum from a comprehensive eight-wicket win against the Hobart Hurricanes on Thursday night.

Squad of 16 v Thunder: Matthew Short (c), Wes Agar, James Bazley, Cameron Boyce, Brendan Doggett, Adam Hose, Thomas Kelly, Chris Lynn, Ben Manenti, Harry Nielsen (wk), Jamie Overton, David Payne, Lloyd Pope, D’Arcy Short, Henry Thornton, Jake Weatherald

Despite missing the match against the Hurricanes due to a hamstring strain, Chris Lynn has been named in the squad.

The Strikers coaching and medical staff are remaining open minded to the slim chance of Lynn returning, but testing needs to be done and progress needs to be made for him to be declared fit to play.

It is the second time the Strikers have faced the Thunder this BBL|13 season, having had a thrilling six-wicket win with just two balls remaining over them at Adelaide Oval in December.

Currently fourth on the BBL|13 standings and in finals contention, it will be a nervous few days for the Strikers as they wait to see how results fall and whether they remain in the top four.

First ball in the Strikers match against the Thunder is at 6:45pm and the match will be broadcast live on Channel 7, Kayo Sports and Foxtel.
