SMALL GROUP REGIONAL COACHING CLINICS

Take your cricket skills to the next level these school holidays! Our small-group coaching sessions are designed for boys and girls who are already playing club or school cricket – or are new to junior cricket and keen to transition their skills from the backyard to the pitch. 

Sessions will focus on a specific skill – batting, bowling or fielding – along with game awareness and decision making, helping players understand how to apply their skills in real match situations. 

This is a skills development program helping to bridge the gap between Cricket Blast and hardball cricket. The session is not a specific talent ID opportunity and players would be expected to have basic skills and knowledge and competence to train safely.

FAQs

WHO ARE THE COACHES?

The small group coaching sessions will be delivered by experienced South Australian Cricket Association staff and coaches. All coaches will have WWCC and coaching accreditation. 

WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING?

Players will be required to bring their own cricket gear including bat and all protective equipment including:

• A bat
• Pads
• Bat
• Gloves
• Abdominal guard
• Helmet

Players should also bring: 

• Hat 
• Drink Bottle 

Any other specific coaching equipment will be provided. 

CAN I SELECT MY COACH OR FOCUS AREA?

Players are welcome to specify the skill or focus area of the session at the time of registration. Players will then be allocated a coach with a suitable skill set and experience. 

CAN I REGISTER FOR MULTIPLE SESSIONS?

Players are welcome to register for multiple sessions but please consider the physical capabilities of your child before doing so. Please specify at the time of registration the specific skill or focus area that you wish to focus on for each session. 

CAN I USE MY GOVERNMENT SPORTS VOUCHER TO RECEIVE A DISCOUNT?

No. Unfortunately, the one-on-one sessions do not meet the eligibility criteria, so players will be unable to register using their Sports Voucher. 

WILL I RECEIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS PRIOR TO THE FIRST SESSION?

All players will receive an email in the week prior to their small group session confirming any specific information required for the sessions.
