Adelaide Strikers Junior Academy

During the April 2024 school holidays, train and play like an Adelaide Striker for a day! 

 

The Adelaide Strikers Junior Academy is specifically for those currently playing Junior Cricket.  

 

This limited one-day intensive program has been designed by our coaches to improve your technical game, as well as your game sense knowledge!

 

You’ll get to train in the Favell-Dansie Indoor Centre (at the Adelaide Oval)! Tour the Adelaide Oval, and have a specialised fielding session on AO Number Two.

 

 

 WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING?

Players will be required to bring their own protective equipment.

• Bat
• Pads
• Gloves
• Abdominal guard
• Helmet

Players should also bring:

• Hat
• Drink bottle
• Snack 

WHO ARE THE COACHES?

Each group and game will be managed by one of the South Australian Cricket Association’s enthusiastic and accredited coaches.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE REGISTRATION FEE?

Your child will receive an Adelaide Strikers Junior Academy Shirt and Lunch.

DO THE GAMES RUN FOR ONE DAY OR MULTIPLE DAYS?

The Adelaide Strikers Junior Academy will run for one day.

CAN I USE MY GOVERNMENT SPORTS VOUCHER TO RECEIVE A DISCOUNT?

No. Unfortunately, the Adelaide Strikers Junior Academy does not meet the eligibility criteria, so players will be unable to register using their Sports Voucher. 

WILL I RECEIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS PRIOR TO THE FIRST SESSION?

All players will receive an email in the week prior to their first session confirming any specific information.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE PROGRAM IS AFFECTED BY WEATHER?

The program will be held in the Favell Dansie Indoor Centre at Adelaide Oval which will limit the impact of weather.

ARE PARENTS/GUARDIANS EXPECTED TO STAY AT THE VENUE FOR THE FULL SESSION?

No. Once your child is checked in with their team coach, parents and guardians are welcome to leave and return 10-15 minutes prior to the end of the session.
