Smash Sisters Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine hold several club records

A snapshot of some of the club’s statistical records ahead of the first standalone WBBL season.

5/189: The Strikers’ highest WBBL total of 189 came against the Hurricanes at Karen Rolton Oval last season. Sophie Devine finished not out on 99 then steered the side to a memorable super over victory.

83: The club’s largest WBBL win by runs was an 83-run thrashing of Hobart in WBBL|03 where captain Suzie Bates hit her maiden WBBL ton.

7: Adelaide’s biggest win by wickets was a seven-wicket defeat of the Hurricanes yet again on Boxing Day of 2016 where Devine’s 103 steered the Strikers to Hobart’s total inside 17 overs.

10: Smash Sisters Devine and Bates both rank inside the top 10 runscorers in WBBL history. Devine’s 1,405 runs places her eighth just ahead of Bates’ 1,385 in ninth position. Sydney Sixers’ Ellyse Perry is the league’s top scorer with 2,143 runs.

48: Megan Schutt has claimed more WBBL wickets than any other Striker with 48, ranked 12th in WBBL history, just ahead of Amanda-Jade Wellington with 47 WBBL scalps. New recruit Stafanie Taylor has 46 WBBL wickets.

1,405: Devine’s 1,405 runs is the most by any Striker – female or male – in Big Bash history.

100: Bates and Devine are among eight players to hit WBBL centuries. Devine also has three scores of 89 or higher, including a 99*.

36: Tegan McPharlin is ranked fifth in WBBL history for wicketkeeper dismissals with 36. Alyssa Healy leads the competition with 59 ‘keeper dismissals.

5.69: Schutt’s career economy rate of 5.69 is the seventh-best of all bowlers in the WBBL.

59: Devine is the WBBL’s all-time top six-hitter with 59 maximums from her 50 WBBL matches.

556: Devine’s 556 runs last summer was the most in a single WBBL series by any Striker and the third-most of any player across all clubs. Perry’s 777 from WBBL|04 is the all-time record.

17: Wellington and Devine share the club record for the most wickets in a single WBBL tournament with both players claiming 17 in WBBL|03.

5: Devine is one of just four players to take a WBBL five-wicket haul.

27: Captain Bates has taken the third-most field catches in the WBBL, including her early stint with the Perth Scorchers, with 27 career catches.

45: Bates has played 45 games as captain in the WBBL, the third-most of anyone in the tournament’s history.

55: Schutt, Wellington and Bridget Patterson have played the most WBBL matches for the Strikers with 55 appearances across all four seasons.
