As part of the Big Bash’s vision to expand the game and take it to local markets, the Strikers will face the Stars in an away fixture at the regional sporting hub, Ted Summerton Reserve.
The Strikers are committed to growing the game after helping bring the Big Bash to Alice Springs in KFC BBL|07, and they also played a trial match in Strathalbyn prior to the season.
Adelaide Strikers General Manager, Bronwyn Klei hopes that fans new and old will enjoy watching the Strikers in a different setting.
“We are ready for this away fixture and the opportunity to bring the Strikers to a new part of the country.
“We also love the support that we get at Adelaide Oval from the best fans in the League, and can’t wait for six games at the stadium – the most we’ve ever had, and to again play both men’s and women’s fixtures in Alice Springs."
The Strikers begin their title defence against the Brisbane Heat at the Gabba on Wednesday, 19 December.
