The Strikers have played against three-time champions Perth Scorchers more than any other BBL side (10 matches) with the record five wins apiece.

Adelaide’s best head-to-head record is against Hobart. The Strikers boast a 4-2 win-loss advantage over the Hurricanes plus a ‘no result’ due to poor weather conditions.

The Strikers’ best innings score was 198/6 chasing the Scorchers in January, 2014. Adelaide fell just five runs short of Perth’s 203-run total in the high-scoring contest.

The team was dismissed for its lowest total (87) in 18.4 overs against the Sydney Sixers in January, 2012.

Adelaide’s biggest win by runs was in the side’s final match of BBL|06, downing Sydney Thunder by 77 runs at Sydney Showground Stadium.

The Strikers’ best win by wickets was a nine-wicket victory over the Sixers in 2012. Adelaide chased down the target of 136 with 25 balls to spare.

Darren ‘Chuck’ Berry was the Strikers’ inaugural coach in 2011. Batsman Michael Klinger was the team’s first captain.

South African spinner Johan Botha holds the record for the most matches as captain of the Adelaide Strikers (23).

Travis Head became the first Striker to score a BBL century with 101* on New Year’s Eve, 2015.

Head also has the most BBL runs of any current Striker with 614.

Strikers quick Ben Laughlin is the BBL’s all-time leading wicket-taker with 69 scalps. He also boasts the third-best strike rate of any bowler in BBL history (15).

Laughlin has played the most BBL games (50) of any current Striker, including 25 with the Hobart Hurricanes. Head (26) has played the most games for Adelaide.

Former wicketkeeper Tim Ludeman holds the all-time Strikers runs record with 846.

Strikers fast bowler Billy Stanlake is one of the tallest players in the BBL at a height of 2.04 metres.

Ish Sodhi’s 6/11 last season was the best bowling performance in an innings by a Striker and second only in the BBL to Lasith Malinga’s 6/7 for the Melbourne Stars in 2012.

Sodhi is the only Striker to claim a BBL five-wicket haul.

The Strikers have played in two BBL finals series (2014-15 & 2015-16).
