One change for NT blockbuster

12 January 2018

Interim captain Colin Ingram will lead the Adelaide Strikers for the first time in Saturday’s historic KFC BBL clash with the Perth Scorchers in Alice Springs.

Ingram has found form with the bat in the Strikers' last few matches, top-scoring with 66 off 44 in Hobart, and a vital 48 from 31 in the win against the Sydney Thunder. He remained unbeaten in the Strikers' eight-wicket win against the Melbourne Stars.

The powerful South African batsman will guide the side while captain Travis Head is away for the Gillette ODI Series against England.

Untried West End Redbacks rookie Daniel Drew could make his BBL debut in Saturday’s clash, which begins at 2.40pm at Traeger Park. The allrounder is the only inclusion to the team’s 13-man travelling squad.

Adelaide and Perth will compete for the newly-coined Jason Gillespie Trophy at Traeger Park Park on Saturday.

Both teams will name their final XI at the toss approximately 45 minutes before the start of play.

Adelaide’s WBBL team will also be in action on Saturday. The Strikers host the Scorchers from 10.50am at the same venue.

Both matches will be broadcast live and free on Channel 10.
