Ben goes back-to-back

12 February 2018

Striker Ben Laughlin has claimed two Twenty20 titles in the space of a week after playing a key role in Hung Hom Jaguars' victory at the Hong Kong T20 Blitz.

Laughlin, 35, backed up his stellar BBL|07 campaign with Adelaide to spearhead the Jaguars’ championship tilt in Mong Kok.

The crafty seamer claimed a team-high eight wickets from five matches at an average of 16 and an economy of just over a run a ball.

He teamed up with former Strikers captain Johan Botha and West Indian allrounder in a six-run win over Galaxy Gladiators Lantau in the tournament final on Sunday.

The Jaguars set an imposing total of 7/200 from their 20 overs and held on despite a devastating 76 off just 47 balls from Gladiators captain and Player of the Tournament Kumar Sangakkara.

Laughlin will line up for the Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming Indian Premier League in April.
