Overseas recruits Colin Ingram and Rashid Khan will not arrive in time to appear but the rest of the Strikers including new captain Travis Head will play in the 20-over game against a team of West End Redbacks players.
Play will start at 2pm and be followed by an autograph session at the oval, from about 5pm, and then a Milo T20 Blast clinic.
Strikers coach Jason Gillespie said he was excited about seeing the new-look squad in action.
“We have several new players and quite a few coming from interstate so it’s important for us to get together and have a couple of decent hit-outs,” he said.
“Strathalbyn is a really nice part of the world and the cricket facilities are really good, too, so it will be a great day.”
The match is one week before the Strikers play their first game of the KFC BBL season at Adelaide Oval, against Sydney Thunder, on Friday 22 December.
