Kane Richardson

Widely regarded as a white-ball specialist thanks to his ability to open and close the bowling with pace and aggression, Richardson has become a vital component of the Strikers' attack in recent years. The big paceman took ten wickets across BBL|04, and bowled in tandem with fellow seamer Ben Laughlin at the death to contain opposition totals.

The Northern Territory product is also a handy lower-order batsman and very safe pair of hands in the outfield, often taking spectacular catches on the rope and cutting off certain boundaries with his athleticism.

Coming off a successful Matador One-Day Cup campaign that saw him finish as the competition's second-leading wicket taker, Richardson will be eager to impress in BBL|05 and work his way back into the minds of international selectors.

A fan favourite thanks to his instantly recognisable beard and willingness to chat with young fast bowlers, Richo will be required to fire again in BBL|05 in order to help the Strikers work their way back into finals contention.
