Adil Rashid

English leg-spinner Adil Rashid returns to Adelaide this year to make his BBL debut on the back of some standout performances in 2015.

Rashid will be looking for more success after having a breakout year with England in 2015, making his Test debut against Pakistan in the UAE and impressing selectors with his one-day international performances earlier in the year against both New Zealand and Australia on home soil, where he secured career best figures of 4/55 with the ball and 69 with the bat.

The leg spinner’s strong white ball form has also extended into the shorter format this year, with his 4/16 key to securing the Emirates Airline T20 title for Yorkshire in March in a 74-run win over defending champions Sussex.

Spending the tournament in South Australia will be also return to familiar territory for Rashid, who tasted success with the West End Redbacks team in 2010/11 when they won the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash title.
