While the result wasn’t what the fans wanted, there were some exciting moments at Adelaide Oval on Thursday night – particularly for some junior Strike Force members.
Before the game, more than 100 junior members were given the chance to take part in a special clinic on the historic Adelaide Oval, playing a range of games and meeting some of the players.
They were also on the field to check out the scene while the team have their annual photo taken, and watch both teams warm-up, before catching the game with their families.
Another off-the-field event on Thursday night was the impressive effort of several Strike Force members, who “donated” their heads, to be shaved for the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. Three fans and Nova’s Jarrod Walsh volunteered to have their heads shaved at half time, providing plenty of entertainment – but importantly, helping to raise funds and awareness for the special event in March.
