Callum Ferguson says his team is ready for the Sydney Thunder next week, and that last night’s narrow loss won’t upend the Strikers’ BBL|02 campaign.
Ferg, speaking at the team recovery at Henley Beach, said the players were confident everything was in order in Team Striker.
While he said the last ball loss at Adelaide Oval last night was a heart-breaker, the team is now preparing for the Sydney roadtrip.
“Unfortunately we weren’t quite able to get over the line this time, but we’ve got all the confidence in the world, that if we are in that position again, next time we’ll win,” he said.
“The sea of blue doesn’t let us down in Adelaide. We’re looking forward to seeing more of that. The support is fantastic and it is certainly like having a 12th man out on the field with us. We hope everyone gets out there to the next game and keeps getting behind us because the boys love the support.”
The players will all be out at Adelaide Oval on Sunday for the Strikers’ Fan Day from 10am-noon.
