Brad Young has today completed his first training as an Adelaide Striker.
Turning back the clock on his 54-match first-class career with South Australia, Young joins the group as a left-arm spinner and a more-than-capable lower order batsman.
Young will be a handy addition to the ‘spin to win’ philosophy set by coach, Darren Berry, with an impressive domestic record, including best bowling figures of 6/58.
With the Strikers set to take on the Brisbane Heat this week, Young said he was looking forward to the challenge should be get selected.
“I’m just looking forward to the challenge and hopefully playing and doing the role I have been put in the side to do,” said Young.
With Nathan Lyon unavailable due to Australian duties, Young will likely play a large role for the Strikers this summer.
